Lifely reaffirms commitment to support coordination in Ballarat

Today, Lifely reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to NDIS Support Coordination in the Ballarat region after Uniting announced it would cease the service, leaving participants scrambling to find alternative providers.

Lifely is one of regional Victoria’s leading support coordination providers – a vital service provided under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Lifely expanded its support coordination and plan management services to Ballarat in 2022 after identifying a need for a high-quality, participant-centred service in the region.

Lifely’s Chief Operations Officer, Eli Geary, said many participants and families found navigating the NDIS difficult and needed support to get the best outcomes.

“The NDIS is a complex scheme that can be confusing, frustrating and daunting to people unfamiliar with it, living with an intellectual disability or mental illness or going through challenging times,” Mr Geary said.

“We understand that any reduction in support can create uncertainty and unease among those who depend on these services, and we want to assure the people of Ballarat that we are here to address their needs.

“We encourage individuals and families affected by the recent cuts to get in touch. Our support coordinators are ready to listen, understand your needs, and work tirelessly to connect you with the support you need.”

As an NDIS-registered organisation, Lifely provides inclusive high-quality disability and children’s support services in regional Victoria and border communities in New South Wales and South Australia.

In addition to offering support coordination and plan management services in Ballarat, Lifely has been working with local schools to support families of children with disabilities to access the NDIS and get the right supports to help them thrive with exciting results.

Lifely is keen to continue this partnership work and is open to working with other organisations and community groups in this capacity for the benefit of residents with disabilities and their families.

In December, the organisation will celebrate 40 years of supporting regional Australians with a disability since its grassroots beginnings in Bendigo.
