Whether you love sports, art, adventure, or simply great company, our NDIS-funded day program offers a variety of engaging activities tailored to your interests!

Our Day Programs Help You Connect, Thrive and Have Fun!

Join our Our Choice Day Program in Bendigo for between one to four days a week (9 AM – 2 PM) and enjoy a variety of exciting activities, including:

  • Day trips to festivals, sports events, galleries, and live music
  • Creative sessions with art, craft, and cooking
  • Outdoor adventures and community engagement
  • Personalised activities based on your interests and idea

The reason our program is called Our Choice is because our day program coordinator takes into account the things you like to do, your hobbies, your dislikes, and your personal goals. We ensure that every activity aligns with what excites and motivates you.

You can attend the group with shared supports alongside other participants with similar needs, or if you require additional assistance, you can bring your own community support worker to focus on you as an individual.

We also offer transport solutions that are suitable for wheelchair users and people with other access and mobility needs, ensuring that everyone can participate comfortably and safely.

Using Your NDIS Plan to Access Day Programs

Understanding how your NDIS funding applies to day programs can help you make the most of your plan. The two main funding categories that can support your participation include:

Core Supports – Assistance with Social and Community Participation

This funding helps cover essential supports that enable you to take part in social and community activities. It can be used for:

  • Support workers to assist you during activities
  • Transport to and from the program
  • Assistance with accessing social and recreational events
  • Help with personal care needs during the program

You can read more about Core Supports on the NDIS website.

Capacity Building Supports – Increased Social and Community Participation

This category focuses on helping you develop the skills needed to participate in social and community activities independently over time. It may include:

  • Mentoring and guidance to build confidence in social situations
Skill-building activities designed to increase independence
Support with communication and relationship-building skills
Personal development programs that encourage greater participation in the community

You can find more information about Capability Building Supports on the NDIS website.

If you are unsure how your NDIS plan can support your participation in a day program, our team is here to help. We can guide you through your funding options, explain how different budget categories apply, and work with you to ensure you are making the most of your plan.

We also understand that some activities, such as meals, event tickets, or entry fees, may not be covered under NDIS funding. In these cases, a small out-of-pocket contribution may be required. However, we always keep costs as low as possible and inform you in advance so you can plan accordingly.
