The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is co-designing a new Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CALD) Strategy and action plan in 2023.
The agency will attempt to do this by working with people with disability from CALD backgrounds to ensure this strategy meets the needs of people with disability from all cultures and communities.
Using a co-design approach, the agency will implement a design-led process allowing people to participate, undertake self-discovery and express themselves.
The outcome of this process will be the new Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CALD) Strategy for 2023-2027 and an action plan with the CALD disability community.
NDIA wants your input into the NDIS CALD Strategy
NDIA invites CALD people with disability, including carers, family members, providers and the disability community, to share their thoughts about our solutions to improve the NDIS.
The agency wants to invite people who feel unheard, so it can understand how to improve the NDIS for CALD people with disability.
In particular, the agency wants your thoughts on
- Whether its proposed solutions meet your needs.
- Whether the proposed changes are safe and appropriate for you.
