We are seeking an experienced full-time Children’s Services Team Leader to lead and oversee our high intensity Outside School Hours Care programs. This role will operate out of Bendigo and oversee Central Victoria and Melbourne’s outer western suburbs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child development, program management, and a passion for creating enriching experiences for children outside of regular school hours including school holidays. 

Remuneration will be in accordance with the SCHADS Award commencing at Level 5 ($51/hour or $100,776 per annum pro-rata) plus salary packaging available to maximise your income by minimising tax (as per PBI status). A company vehicle will be available to travel to all our Outside School Hours Care sites. 

 

About Us 

Lifely is a disability service provider with 40 years’ experience supporting people with a disability and their families. We are proud to be part of a government-funded program providing free OSHC services to children and young people with disabilities attending specialist schools. 

 

Your role at a glance 

You will plan, co-ordinate, supervise, implement and administer the activities and policies for the daily operations of our Children Services Program, including: 

• Lead the development of engaging, age-appropriate activities for child development. 

• Lead collaboration with parents, caregivers, and staff to create an inclusive environment. 

• Provide leadership, guidance and staff supervision, ensuring compliance with regulations. 

• Coordinate with stakeholders to enhance program offerings. 

• Lead and enforce the maintenance of accurate program records. 

• Ensure compliance with laws and safety standards. 

• Create and monitor child services policies and procedures. 

• Assist the Children’s Services Manager. 

 

The ideal candidate must have: 

• A recognised minimum qualification as per the National Quality Framework 

• Three or more years of leadership experience in child services, education, disabilities or other relevant field. 

• Passion for child development and education. 

• Strong ethics, child safety awareness, and work health and safety knowledge. 

• Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience in the face of change. 

 

You must be willing to provide the following prior to starting work: 

• NDIS Worker Screening Check 

• Working with Children Check 

• First Aid and CPR Certificates 

• NDIS Orientation Certificate 

• COVID Vaccination Certificate 

• Proof of right to work in Australia 

• Valid Driver License 
• Mandatory Reporting Certificate
